ROS and FIONA -based environment manipulation for agricultural data acquisition

In order to gather the best information from a system, it is often necessary to modify the environment (e.g., by moving away an occluding object). In this project, we will develop an agricultural application that uses a robotic arm (the Elfin robot) to change the environment and be able to get the best pictures of vegetables. These pictures will be later used for further processing.

In addition to the ROS framework, the application will make use of AI cloud platform FIONA, which provides an infrastructure and a set of functionalities that are very interesting for the project.
