ROS-I EU Spring ’19 Workshop

With all the excitement and curiosity surrounding releases of ROS2 distros, we are pleased to announce the Spring edition of ROS-Industrial EU Tech Workshop, which will take place at Fraunhofer IPA. ROS 2 supports multiple DDS/RTPS implementations and various factors will influence in choosing the right vendor for your needs: logistical considerations like the license, or technical considerations like platform availability, or computation footprint.

ROS-I academy 2/5 of 2019, Stuttgart

About This year’s second ROS-I Academy of a total of five events at Fraunhofer IPA. The target is to boost participants from industry with little or no ROS knowledge to a level with broad comprehension of the robotic framework. The theoretical content is consolidated with workshops and is applied on mobile- and industrial robots for the focused areas. ROS-Industrial Conference 2018

Over three days the program will cover: (1) ROS support from hardware OEMs, such as ABB, Denso, Ensenso, Pilz, Roboception, Universal Robots, and others (2) how robotics and IT are converging, in methods and business models: deployment and update workflows, cloud, etc (3) ROS software development measures and tools to guarantee its quality, such as static code analysis, and newly released packages from commercial organizations (4) applications such as aerospace, automotive, logistics (5) current EU ROS activities and how to get involved in them

ROS-I Academy @Tecnalia, Spain

A new edition of the ROS-Industrial Academy has taken place at Tecnalia facilities in San Sebastian (Spain). The course has run from March 7th to March 9th. During these three days, the 19 participants in the course, coming from 11 different companies have had the opportunity to learn the basics of the ROS-Industrial system.
