#RICEU2019 was a huge success:

  • 3 days
  • 40+ speakers
  • 150 partcipants

Seven years after the very first public event entirely devoted to discussing the potential benefits of a shared, open-source framework for industrial robotics and automation, Fraunhofer IPA successfully hosted the 7th edition of the ROS-Industrial Conference on December 10 to 12, 2019.

From its inception in 2012, the initiative went from proof of concepts developed by a few organizations envisioning to advance manufacturing through open source, to:

  • a worldwide initiative, with three regional consortia financially backed by more than 70 organizations
  • a growing collection of software packages, expanding the capabilities and the platform support of ROS
  • a number of installations of ROS-powered equipment working in production within industrial environments

More information, especially the videos and the slides of the presentations as well as a series of three blog posts will follow in early 2020.
